I chose my Orioles and before I finished decorating my cake one of my classmates wanted to buy my cake for her brother. In one of our classes, we learned to do an image transfer. We received a nice profit-sharing check at our job, so I went ahead and signed up. “I want to thank my parents, my grandma, my sisters, my cousins, my aunts and uncles, and coach,” Searl said. She had been trying to get me to take one of her classes for a few years. Searl expresses her appreciation for all the support she’s received. “Even if it seems hard, you can still do it.” “You gotta have good sportsmanship and good grades,” Searl said. Searl offers her advice to students who are looking to participate in track and field. “I’m a little nervous but I will be fine,” Searl said. “ I also do shot put, javelin, and indoor and outdoor archery events.”Īs for her state competition, Searl is eager to get out on the field and play. “I do the 100m, 200m, and 400m track and field events,” Searl said. Having been on the PHS track and field team since her freshman year, this is Searl’s first year heading to state.
